CR Smith is Scotland’s leading uPVC window manufacturer and home improvement installer and has become one of Scotland’s largest and most well-known brands. Its belief has always been to provide beautifully designed home improvements throughout Scotland.

Every product is made to order on short production lead times, creating a complex and fast-moving environment. Such an environment requires excellent management and organisational skills, along with inspiring leadership qualities. CR Smith supplies a broad portfolio of customers, from homeowners, housebuilders, trade organisations and social housing organisations across Scotland.

Due to continued growth, CR Smith is looking for an experienced Director of Manufacturing to lead the manufacturing arm of the business.

The Director of Manufacturing will work closely with the Managing Director of CR Smith Manufacturing Ltd, with the principal focus to realise the business’s strategic objectives. The Director of Manufacturing will lead a team of production managers, engineers and administrators to achieve the business objectives, whilst maintaining a focus on the daily operational needs.

CR Smith is looking for a dynamic and strategic leader with a strong background in manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have exceptional leadership skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to drive operational excellence in a complex, custom production environment. They will play a key role in aligning manufacturing operations with broader business objectives, ensuring efficiency, quality, and sustainable growth.
