Cesca is Head of Operations and Executive Assistant to our Group CEO, Jamie. She has overall responsibility for Group operations which includes acting as audit and compliance partner, running our marketing and events programme, and managing IT and internal policies. She also manages our support team and our group-wide projects. Cesca is passionate about making a difference, and sits on both our Environmental Impact and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Steering Groups.
Coming from a sporting background, Cesca was motivated to work for an organisation focused on teamwork and supporting others, so she joined Livingston James as a Research Associate in 2018. She spent over a year as our lead researcher for all executive search processes, gaining significant experience sourcing senior executives for high profile assignments. Learning the ropes of recruitment from the ground up and developing wider knowledge of candidate attraction and assessment strategies, Cesca particularly enjoyed building relationships with clients and candidates, and jumped at the opportunity to become EA to our CEO in 2020. Cesca has a people-first approach, a keen eye for detail and is always on hand to support across the team.
Cesca graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a BSc in Applied Sport Science with first class honours, where she specialised in Sports Biomechanics and Physiology. She is fluent in Norwegian, having spent 5 years in Norway as a child; and has also studied Spanish, French and Italian. As well as a keen footballer, basketballer and water polo player, Cesca was a competitive swimmer for over 10 years competing at National level and for Scotland Universities.
Cesca has always been heavily involved in volunteering and was awarded a university Colours Award for outstanding voluntary service to the Sports Union. This included being Vice President of EUSWPC, overseeing club development for over 200 members during her final year of study. After graduating, she became Head Swim Coach of EUSWPC for a year whilst working with us, coaching university students 5 times a week. She is also a huge foodie, so feel free to reach out for any Edinburgh food recommendations!
