Livingston James is delighted to partner with Rettie to appoint its new Risk & Compliance Manager.
Rettie is one of the most trusted and well-respected names in the Scotland and North East of England property market. From city apartments and rural cottages to townhouses, prime country homes, and farms and estates, Rettie deal with some of the most prestigious properties on the market, but provide the same exceptional standards of service and value for money to all its clients.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, Rettie is looking for a Risk & Compliance Manager to join its team and play a key role in maintaining the high standards of ethical conduct and regulatory compliance that underpin the business.
The successful candidate will ensure that its business activities are conducted in a compliant and ethical manner, within a framework of policies, procedures and systems based on the relevant regulations. This regulatory framework includes (but is not limited to) data protection, anti money laundering, consumer protection, anti bribery, complaint handling and professional membership requirements & governance. They will be proactive at keeping up to date with changing regulatory requirements and briefing the Executive Team on any required adaptations or changes in approach.
The Risk & Compliance Manager will review Rettie’s company risk assessment on a regular basis and collaborate with the Executive Team to monitor its risk profile, adapting the risk assessment and risk matrix accordingly. They identify and implement any necessary actions that result. They will use their expert monitoring, analytical and reporting skills and keen eye for detail to carry out regular audits and prepare reports and recommendations for the Management and Executive Teams.
The successful incumbent can be based in either Edinburgh or Glasgow.
