Livingston James retained by Realise Energy Services to appoint Finance Director

*Please note this opportunity is now closed to further applications. Should you be interested in similar roles and wish to have an exploratory discussion, please contact Sophie Randles at [email protected].

Founded in 2016 and backed by Rockpool Investments earlier this year, Realise Energy Services (Realise) is a specialist engineering services business which maintains a large portfolio of onshore wind turbines across the UK via the provision of remote monitoring, and scheduled and reactive maintenance and inspection services. These services are underpinned by long term contracts and are required to keep the turbines in peak operational performance. Realise also undertakes some non-contracted maintenance services, installation, and re-powering services. They are headquartered in Perth, Scotland, and has regional hubs in Northern Ireland and England.

In preparation for growth, Realise is now looking to appoint a new Finance Director. This is a business-critical role which will be instrumental in the evolution of the business. The successful candidate will have a firm understanding of the dynamics of a small, but rapidly growing business with clear ambitions to grow both organically and through acquisition. They will also take an interest in understanding the end-to-end business and will help to identify and develop strategies to maximise revenue and profit growth. The role requires an entrepreneurial, commercially minded individual who is keen to have a significant impact on the business by playing their part in achieving substantial growth. They equally will have strong technical ability and show willing to roll their sleeves up in the creation and development of a first in class finance function.

The FD will work closely with the wider senior management team, Board and Investors to ensure the business is able to continue on this growth path. Experience of working alongside private equity would be beneficial, as would experience within the business services industry.
