Following significant recent growth and strategic investment, the business is now seeking an experienced Operations Director to join the leadership team and support the next phase of development.

As a key member of the board working closely with the Managing Director, the Operations Director will lead all operational functions including supply chain, stock management, logistics, compliance, quality, and ERP systems. This role is pivotal in driving operational improvements and empowering teams to deliver outstanding customer service at scale. The successful candidate will exemplify a high-performance culture, coaching and developing talent to build capacity and professionalise processes across the business.

Hardies prides itself on a close-knit, agile culture built on independence, collaboration, and integrity. With a £9m turnover and ambitious plans to double in size through UK and European growth, this is an exciting opportunity to shape a dynamic SME in a fast-paced market.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record delivering operational improvements within people-led service businesses, strong leadership skills, and the ability to simplify and systematise processes using IT and AI tools. Experience in fast-growing SMEs, excellent communication, and a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach are essential. Knowledge of import/export logistics, the polymers industry, or European market expansion is highly desirable.

If you are ready to lead and innovate in a growing, values-driven business, we would love to hear from you. Please apply or contact our retained advisor, Sophie Randles, at [email protected] for a confidential discussion.

Any direct applications or third-party introductions to Hardie Polymers will be forwarded to Livingston James for consideration.
