Glasgow Kelvin College is a community-based institution with a clear vision of ‘transforming lives through education.’ Its mission is to raise the aspirations, careers, and quality of life for its students by providing accessible, inclusive, and high-quality lifelong learning opportunities.

With the retirement of its current Principal in March 2025, it is seeking a Principal and Chief Executive who can build on the College’s success and lead it into its next phase of development. This is a pivotal leadership role requiring a visionary leader to inspire both staff and students while ensuring the College maintains its financial stability and operational effectiveness. You will guide the College so that it remains a student-centred institution, deeply connected to the communities it serves, and dedicated to enabling every student to reach their full potential.

This role offers an exciting and challenging opportunity. The Board of Management is committed to supporting and constructively challenging the Executive Team to ensure the best outcomes for the College. It is particularly pleased to have recently approved a five-year budget, forecasting financial stability over this period.

As the new Principal and Chief Executive, you will bring significant experience in curriculum development, academic innovation, and the management of teaching, learning, and assessment. You will have a strong track record of delivering against key strategic priorities, with proven success in leading change, driving innovation, and achieving excellent outcomes at a senior leadership level. Your effective stakeholder management skills will allow you to foster and maintain meaningful partnerships and relationships while representing the College at both local and national levels.

If you are an exceptional leader who resonates with the mission, vision, ethos, and values at the heart of Glasgow Kelvin College and are driven to transform lives through education, we encourage you to review the full role profile below or connect with Douglas Adam ([email protected]) for a further discussion
