Livingston James Partners with Scottish Futures Trust to appoint two key Legal Hires.

Scottish Futures Trust

Associate Director – Legal and Commercial

Competitive salary and benefits package

For more than a decade the Scottish Futures Trust (SFT) has been at the forefront of improving public sector infrastructure across Scotland.

Established by Scottish Government as a centre of infrastructure expertise, SFT provides additional skills, resource and knowledge to public sector organisations. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic organisation focused on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of infrastructure investment and use in Scotland by working collaboratively with public bodies and industry, leading to better value for money and ultimately improved public services.

SFT is looking to recruit an Associate Director with legal and commercial skills to perform a dual role and act as an integral part of the SFT Investments and Place, Housing and Economic Investment (PHEI) teams, contributing to the successes and activities of both. Working with key stakeholders, the role is responsible for overseeing the continued operations and exit process associated with the National Housing Trust initiative and its variants on behalf of Investments, whilst also providing legally focused support to PHEI and the wider Development & Housing Team around existing and to-be-developed funding and delivery structures.

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with a relevant Scottish legal qualification and a proven track record of delivery and success gained within the property, housing, economic development or regeneration environments.

The incumbent will be expected to work closely with public (including Scottish Government and Local Authorities) and private sector stakeholders (including developers and investors) so experience in both would be preferable, although not essential.

Closing date for applications is Wednesday the 30th of June.
