Livingston James Launches Non-Executive Roundtable Event Series
Livingston James recently hosted a roundtable event with BGF with the aim of creating a community whereby Non-Executive Directors from the Scottish market could come together to share insights on important topics impacting all businesses and business leaders alike.
At Livingston James, we advise and support people and organisations to realise their potential so that together we can impact lives and communities for the better. In line with this, the roundtable allowed us to connect key contacts and encourage spirited debate, creating an opportunity for like-minded individuals to discuss issues from different perspectives and gain valuable learnings.
From the discussion, it was evident that despite a few industry-specific challenges, there was generally commonality among the factors impacting the Scottish market, such as the continual challenges of scaling businesses. The discussion around the table turned to how businesses can diversify their Board composition to better equip themselves to face these current challenges, how better to assess this, and the associated benefits.
Another key takeaway from the event centred around the relationship between Non-Executive Directors and Investors; placing importance on sharing networks and expertise, and the ability to provide advice in a meaningful and transparent way.
We hope the event has contributed to building a supportive network who can meet throughout the year, continuing to support each other as businesses and leaders to navigate market challenges and future areas of interest such as ESG and succession planning.
If you are a Non-Executive Director and/or Chair, or an aspirant Non-Executive Director who is interested in joining this community, please reach out to Sophie Randles on [email protected].
